Sitemap Validation

Creating a sitemap is very straightforward.

However they often get overlooked with new pages not getting added and old pages not being deleted.

The sitemap validation report will look at your robots.txt file to get your sitemap files. It will build up a list of all the urls contained in your sitemap (either xml or html).

It will then check your log files to make sure the last response for each url indicated it was okay and there was not a problem.

It will also look at popular pages visited by users that are not contained in your sitemap.
